American automaker Tesla Elon Musk has increased the price of the most expensive model of the Cybertruck electric pickup truck in the United States by $15,000. About writes Reuters.

Now the Cyberbeast version with the new "luxury package", which includes self-driving and free access to the Supercharger network, costs $114,990. The price of other Cybertruck modifications has not changed.

The price of Cyberbeast has risen despite the fact that the pickup truck has not met expectations. Its sales account for a small share of the company's total shipments, and demand for it is declining due to repeated recalls and quality issues.

Musk had previously promised that the basic version of the Cybertruck would cost about $40,000, but at its launch in late 2023, Tesla announced a price more than 50% higher – $60,990.

Market competition is intensified by the Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet Silverado EV, which have much lower prices.

Due to low sales, Tesla is forced to offer discounts of up to $10,000 on some Cybertrucks from the warehouse.
