Russia strikes at Epicenter logistics center near Kyiv

On the night of September 16, a fire broke out at the Epicenter logistics hub near Kyiv following a Russian drone strike, the company’s press service told LIGA.net. Epicenter is the largest DIY retail chain in Ukraine.
No casualties were reported at the site. However, according to the State Emergency Service, Russian forces attacked rescuers as they attempted to extinguish the fire. During the second strike, two firefighting vehicles were damaged.
The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, confirmed that the logistics center was hit.
"A warehouse on the logistics center’s territory caught fire. Emergency crews are already working at the scene," he wrote on Telegram in the morning.

In total, four private houses, a warehouse, 14 trucks, and nine cars were damaged in the area.
- This is not the first time Epicenter has been targeted. On July 26, Russian forces destroyed an Epicenter hypermarket in Kamianske. Before that, seven shopping centers had been completely destroyed — in Mariupol, Chernihiv, Bucha, Nikopol, Kharkiv, and two in Kherson. Two more malls were forced to close due to severe damage and proximity to frontline fighting, while the Epicenter in Melitopol was seized during occupation.
- Since 2014, the total losses sustained by the Epicenter Group have exceeded $1 billion.
