Russian attack destroys facilities of Ukraine’s largest drip coffee producer – photos

The Russian strike on Kyiv on the night of October 25 destroyed the production facilities of the Idealist Coffee brand. About reported on the company's Facebook page.
"The nighttime ballistic attack by racist terrorists has caused yet another destruction of our production facilities. [...] Unfortunately, our neighbors have killed and wounded. Our condolences to their families and friends," the statement said.


The actual state of affairs and the timing of the recovery are not yet known, the company said.
"We apologize in advance to our clients and partners for the delays and forced unpunctuality," the post reads.



Idealist Coffee & Co's coffee roasting facility was hit by a Russian attack on August 28, but the operation was quickly resumed.
Idealist Coffee & Co. is the largest producer of drip coffee in Ukraine, according to the company's website. It was founded in 2019 by the current chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Sergiy Koretsky. When he was managing the WOG filling station network (2013-2018), the company launched WOG CAFE in Intercity trains. Ukrzaliznytsia changed the catering operator as late as June 2024.
"The coffee in this series will certainly keep Ukrainian train passengers warm next week. Idealist Coffee supports you in a difficult moment after the shelling," said on the evening of October 25, Ukrzaliznytsia.
- On the night of October 25, the occupiers attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles the explosion killed two people and injured at least 13 others, causing damage and fires.
- Fires in the Desnianskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital: SES managed to extinguish until 11:30 pm.
