Ukrposhta reduces the cost of delivering parcels to the United States using the PRIME service from October 1, 2025. About reported CEO of the company Ihor Smelyansky.

Smelyansky noted that this solution will help businesses during the most active sales period – before the New Year holidays, when the US market accounts for more than a quarter of annual exports.

Starting October 1, the cost of sending small PRIME packages by Ukrposhta will start at UAH 260, which is $1.5-2 cheaper than before.

According to Smelyansky, the quality of the service will not change: delivery will take from seven days to more than 15,000 branches across the United States.

To ensure the speed and stability of delivery, the company, together with its partners DHL, Nordi and Lufthansa, has built a logistics route:

  • parcel processing in Ukraine – up to 24 hours;
  • delivery to London or Frankfurt – in 34-40 hours;
  • then delivery to key US cities: New York, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles.

He emphasized that even with the new US duties (10% for goods from Ukraine), the conditions for Ukrainian exporters remain more favorable than those of the EU (15%), Moldova (25%), or Switzerland (45%).

"This decision is not just a reaction to the new US trade policy, which imposes duties even on goods under $800. This is an opportunity for Ukrainian small businesses to maintain their positions and even increase their volumes, especially given that many countries (unlike Ukraine) have not yet resumed deliveries to the United States."smelyansky noted.
