The state Agency for Recovery and Management of Assets (ARMA) put the Trade Union Building on Maidan Nezalezhnosti up for tender, its website reports.

The landmark building on the Maidan has been under arrest since October 2021 as part of criminal proceedings on the seizure of state property by trade unions.

The Kyiv Trade Unions Building has been at the disposal of ARMA following the decision of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv dated April 3, 2023. Now the agency is looking for a manager for it. Applications can be submitted until June 15.

The Trade Unions Building was the headquarters of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity. During the hottest days of the protests, a fire broke out in the building, during which two people died.

The building almost completely burned down, and it took four years to restore it. A private investor, who financed the renovation, took ownership of a third of the building.

After the restoration, several scandals arose around the building. Initially, there were attempts to open a restaurant there, which was closed after publicity, and in 2021, the opening of a poker club in the basement of the Trade Unions Building was reported.

The administrative building is located on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, on the corner of Khreshchatyk Street and the drive between Heroiv Nebesnoyi Sotni Alley and Mykhailivska Street.

This asset can be managed by a legal entity or an individual entrepreneur who has experience in real estate management, the necessary resources, and will offer the most favorable price conditions.

The future manager is obliged to keep the real estate and pay part of the received income to the state budget.
