Kyiv privatizes the office of the company that designed almost all metro stations

On Friday, October 17, the State Property Fund held a successful auction for the privatization of the unified property complex of the state-owned enterprise Design Institute Ukrmetrotunnelproekt in Kyiv, according to data Prozorro.Sale.

It used to be a well-known design institute that developed technical documentation for the construction of almost all Kyiv metro stations.

The company does not actually conduct any business activities, so its main asset is real estate in the center of Kyiv.

Two bidders competed for the lot. During the auction, the price increased almost 3.5 times: from UAH 20.58 million to UAH 70 million.

The final offer of the auction winner, Portofin AMC LLC (acting in the interests of DZDIPI Profit JSC), was only one hryvnia higher than TERRA-2021 LLC. The winner will have to pay UAH 84 million, including VAT.

In addition, the future owner is obliged to repay UAH 34.11 million of debt and not to dismiss employees (seven of them) for six months.

Ukrmetrotunnelproekt is located on Bulvarno-Kudriavska Street in two buildings: 19-B (area – 759.4 sq. m., unsatisfactory condition) and 21 (area – 1672 sq. m., satisfactory condition).

Both buildings are architectural monuments of local significance, but they have not signed security agreements.

The land plot of 0.2434 hectares on which the facility is located is not subject to sale and purchase. Therefore, the buyer will decide on the land use on its own.

According to its charter, the Institute's main activity is in the field of architecture. Currently, the main nomenclature is real estate leasing and operation services.

The state-owned enterprise has 204 movable property items, mainly office equipment and furniture, and two vehicles on its balance sheet.

• on August 4, a single property complex was sold in Kyiv of the state enterprise Kyiv Automobile Repair Plant near the Beresteyska metro station. It was purchased by Inter Food 2020 LLC for UAH 148 million including VAT.
• on September 22, the SPFU held a second auction for the privatization of the UMC of the state institute Ukrrybproekt, whose main asset is stalinist building in the center of Kyiv on 82-A Konys'kogo Street. It was bought by Oleksandr Suprunenko's SF Ukraine Propetriz LLC.
• on September 25, a privatization auction was held in Kyiv of the former Kvant plant. UAH 400 million was offered for industrial real estate near the Saxon nightclub.
