"Japan has never been a priority market for me. My ambition was to sell products to the United States," says Olena Tokar, founder of the Ukrainian sweets brand Lol & Pop.

In October 2024, the first batch of lollipops produced by her company went to Japan. The candy is sold in 350 Village Vanguard outlets.

This is the result of the entrepreneur's overall efforts to enter foreign markets, which began in 2017. Before working with Japan, Olena was able to start supplying products to America. She also opened her own production facility in Poland.
