Ukraine received official permission to export eggs to Canada

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has officially approved a certificate that allows the export of Ukrainian eggs to Canada, the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada reported.
It is noted that this decision is the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, and the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection.
"Opening new markets for Ukrainian products is part of our strategy to support the economy during the war, strengthen the presence of Ukrainian business in the world, and promote Ukrainian products as high-quality, safe, and competitive," the embassy emphasizes.
The department hopes to soon "see Ukrainian eggs on the shelves of Canadian supermarkets."
In the first quarter of 2025, Ukraine exported 496 million chicken eggs, which is twice as much as in the same period last year.
Ukraine supplies the largest share of eggs to the European Union (72%). Ukrainian eggs have also recently begun to be supplied to the United Kingdom. The country currently accounts for 7% of the total volume.
- On April 14, for the first time since the beginning of February 2025, a decrease in prices for chicken eggs was recorded in Ukraine – by 5.2%.
