Ukrainian ice cream producer gets rid of a troubled asset in Poland

The Ukrainian ice cream producer Three Bears has sold the Calfrost plant in Kalisz, Wielkopolska Province, Poland. The new owner of the plant is entrepreneur Jan Podlasinski, writes edition of money.
Dmitry Ushmayev, owner of Three Bears, in the fall of 2023 bought the Nordis company in Zelena Gorawhich owned the Kalisz plant. Due to the difficult economic situation, Calfrost was decided to close, all of its employees were fired.
A year later, Three Bears sold the plant for PLN 5 million ($1.36 million). The new owner, who runs two hotels and a transportation company, plans to use the facility as a warehouse.
Publication epoznan reports that after the transaction was completed, the new owner faced difficulties related to the previous management of the plant. It turned out that Three Bears had removed all the refrigeration equipment from the plant without warning.
According to Podlasinski, the plant was "destroyed to such an extent that there will definitely never be a cold storage facility there." As a result of this "misunderstanding," the value of the facility was reduced by 300,000 zlotys ($81,540).
Meanwhile, Calfrost claims that the new owner was notified of the planned dismantling of the cold storage and refrigeration equipment before the deal was finalized.
