Czech businessman Tomas Fiala sells minority stake in Ukrayinska Pravda to Dutch fund

Czech businessman Tomas Fiala has sold a minority stake in Ukrayinska Pravda (Ukrainian Truth) to the Dutch investment fund Pluralis B.V., the publication reported on its website.
The funds raised from the deal will be used to launch and scale a paywall and to further develop Ukrayinska Pravda’s editorial projects.
Fiala will remain the largest shareholder of the media outlet.
Ukrayinska Pravda is Ukraine’s most popular online media outlet. Fiala has owned it since May 2021. In addition to the flagship publication, the media group includes Economic Pravda, European Pravda, UP.Life, Champion, Mezha, and TabloID.

Pluralis has previously invested in Poland’s Gremi Media SA (publisher of Rzeczpospolita), Slovakia’s Petit Press (publisher of SME.sk), and Croatia’s media outlet Telegram, among others.
- In early January 2026, it was reported that Fiala transferred most of his assets to a family trust.
- He continues to own Ukrayinska Pravda, NV, Radio NV, and Unex Bank.
