On the night of June 29, the Russian occupiers launched a record-breaking attack on Drohobych . An industrial facility in the city was attacked with 21 missiles and a drone simultaneously, , the Drohobych City Hall reported on Monday.

This was the most massive missile and drone attack on Drohobych district during the entire period of full-scale war, said Ihor Yuzvyak, head of the Department for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the Population.

Repulsing the attack was significantly hampered by weather conditions and limited visibility due to dense cloud cover.

The shelling led to the formation of six fire centers. The situation was especially aggravated by the fire of a 1000-liter fuel tank.

250 rescuers from the State Emergency Service, 47 units of specialized equipment from different regions, and 150 law enforcement officials were engaged to eliminate the consequences of the attack in Drohobych.

The shelling damaged residential buildings – 50 windows in six apartment buildings were smashed. The attack caused a power outage in part of the city. The pumping stations of the third lift, which supply water to the upper floors of apartment buildings, were temporarily shut down .

According to the results of environmental monitoring, as of 22:00 on Sunday, no exceedances of the maximum permissible concentration of sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide in residential buildings were detected.
