Hrynchuk and Galushchenko wrote letters of resignation

Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk has written a letter of resignation. She announced this on Facebook.
"There were no violations of the law in my professional activities. Such facts cannot exist in principle. As for the speculations regarding my personal relationships, any speculation on this topic is inappropriate," the minister wrote .

Hrynchuk's resignation is related to the fact that the Mindich tapes (NABU recordings made during the investigation of alleged corruption at Energoatom ) revealed that before her appointment as minister, she was probably interviewed by one of the suspects.
This fact is mentioned in the pre-trial investigation materials as evidence that this suspect had previously influenced personnel policy and officials in the energy sector.
on November 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Energy Minister (and another person involved in the tapes, Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko ) could not remain in office due to a loss of trust.
Hrynchuk was appointed Minister of Energy of Ukraine on July 17, 2025. Prior to that, she was Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine for almost a year, and before that, in 2023-2024, she served as Deputy Minister of Energy.
She stated that the position was never an end in itself for her and thanked Zelenskyy, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada for the opportunity to work for the benefit of the state.
UPDATED at 17:33. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that Minister Galushchenko also wrote a letter of resignation.
In this regard, she submitted a motion to the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss both ministers.
Spokesperson for "Servant of the People" Yulia Paliychuk said that the ministers' resignations will be considered at the next session of the Verkhovna Rada.
"The faction shares the position of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. These members of the government cannot remain in office. Decisions on their dismissal will be made as soon as possible," she said .
Galushchenko appears on the Mindich tapes more than Hrynchuk – he is called Sigismund or Professor there.
Prosecutors believe that businessman Mindic influenced the minister and thus controlled financial flows.
The suspect who allegedly interviewed Hrynchuk was an advisor to Halushchenko and had control over personnel issues in the ministry.
Galushchenko, for his part, according to the investigation, could have received personal benefits through Mindic's patronage of the President of Ukraine.
- Hrynchuk's tenure as Energy Minister will be the shortest in Ukraine's history. Until now, this record was held by Serhiy Tulub, who served as Minister of Fuel and Energy for six months, from December 30, 1999 to June 26, 2000 .
