The High Anti-Corruption Court on Wednesday, November 12, imposed a 60-day pre-trial restraint on former advisor Herman Halushchenko in the corruption case at Energoatom .

"To apply to the suspect Myroniuk Ihor Mykolaiovych a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days from the date of his actual detention, that is, until January 8, 2026, inclusive," the investigating judge announced the decision during the hearing, which was broadcast online.

Myroniuk was an adviser to Halushchenko when he was Minister of Energy and a former aide to ex-MP Andriy Derkach, a suspect in high treason . On NABU tapes, Myroniuk appears as "Rocket".

His bail was set at UAH 126 million - after paying this amount, he will be released.

The NABU and SAPO consider the suspect to be a member of organization allegedly created by businessman Timur Mindich for the purpose of illicit enrichment.

He was the third level in the hierarchical structure of the organization, subordinate to another defendant. His role, according to the investigation, was to coordinate the actions of another alleged member of the organization ( also arrested ).

The investigation believes that it was allegedly the suspect Roket who identified potential Energoatom contractors who had to pay an undue benefit to the company's officials for acting in the interests of suppliers. If the counterparty refused, the suspect could organize payment blocking, license revocation, or delay of procurement procedures.

He is charged with eight episodes related to the legalization of significant amounts of money and one episode of organizing the receipt of illegal benefits.

While lawyers insisted on Myroniuk's immediate release, prosecutors argued that the suspect could escape or obstruct the investigation.

According to the prosecutor's office, this is supported by the severity of the punishment, as well as close ties and financial assets abroad. In particular, his wife has a residence permit in Slovakia, and the suspect himself planned to build villas in Mauritius .

In addition, the prosecutor's office said that the suspect allegedly tried to destroy documents by tearing them in the bathroom and throwing his cell phone out of the window during the arrest.
