Investor and founder of Concorde Capital Igor Mazepa has completed a deal to purchase leading drilling company Beiken Energy Ukraine, the Beiken press service reported.

The new owner of the enterprise is the Cypriot company Prato Golf Investments LTD, owned by Mazepa. It bought the business from the Chinese corporation Beiken Energy Group, which previously owned Beiken Energy Ukraine.

Mazepa has been appointed Chairman of the company's Supervisory Board. Joe D. Rainey, an energy manager and strategist with over 40 years of experience, has also joined the board.

Joe D. Rainey is an American top manager with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, in particular at Halliburton (Houston, USA), one of the largest oil and gas service corporations in the world, providing services at all stages of the field life cycle.

"Joe's experience includes managing complex international operations, strategic planning, and developing drilling and service areas in over 50 countries around the world. I am confident that this will contribute to the development of the company and help overcome a possible gas shortage in the country," Mazepa noted.

The company has been operating in the Ukrainian oil and gas market since 2017, has a production base in Poltava, and specializes in drilling operations and project management in the energy sector.

Beiken Energy Ukraine LLC was founded in 2017 as a second-tier subsidiary of the Chinese public oil and gas service corporation Beiken Energy Group.
