Russia strikes energy infrastructure in eight regions of Ukraine

On September 9, the enemy targeted civilian energy infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv oblasts, according to the Ministry of Energy press service.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the Russian attack caused two power outages at a substation, affecting homes and the water supply. Another substation, consumers, and railway infrastructure also lost power (no train traffic was disrupted). Power has been restored using backup systems.

In Sumy Oblast, the attack on a power line caused blackouts at a substation and for households in Kharkiv Oblast. Power has been restored using backup systems.

In Poltava Oblast, the enemy's attack caused a power line to fail, resulting in power outages for consumers. Power has since been restored.

In Chernihiv Oblast, the Russian attack caused power lines to disconnect, cutting electricity to 947 subscribers in 15 settlements.

According to Ukrenergo, as of the morning of September 10, 545 settlements were fully or partially without power due to combat operations and other reasons.

New power outages due to combat operations have occurred in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kherson, and Mykolaiv oblasts.
