On Thursday, December 11, the agency held two auctions for special permits granting the right to use subsoil areas with hydrocarbon deposits. The total value of the lots reached almost UAH 1.3 billion, according to data from Prozorro.Sale.

The first permit covers the Ostrovska area in Lviv region, located between the Yavoriv and Sambir districts, around 17 kilometers northeast of Sambir. The site is suitable for natural gas, oil, and condensate production. The permit is valid for 20 years.

The auction was won by GBL-1 LLC, owned by Zinoviy Kozitskyy and Czech billionaire Karel Komarek, which offered UAH 555 million — just UAH 10,000 more than the bid from Poltava Petroleum Company.

The second permit covers the Novodykanska area in Poltava region, located in the Myrhorod and Poltava districts, 6.6 kilometers east of Reshetylivka. Production of natural gas, associated gas, oil, and condensate is allowed. The terms are the same: a 20-year permit for geological exploration followed by production.

State-owned Ukrgazvydobuvannya won the auction with a bid of UAH 738.9 million.
