Ukraine plans to purchase 100 diesel generators of various capacities to create a national reserve, the State Agency for Infrastructure Recovery and Development said Thursday.

The generators are intended to ensure stable electricity supply for communities in the aftermath of Russian strikes. The planned equipment will include units with capacities of 1 MW, 1.5 MW, 2 MW, 2.5 MW and 3 MW.

The total combined capacity of the generators will amount to 200 MW.

All units must be industrial-grade, designed for continuous 24/7 operation as a primary power source, and mounted in all-weather container units on semi-trailers to allow rapid deployment and transportation.

The generators must be manufactured in 2025 or later. Deliveries are scheduled in batches to Kyiv throughout 2026.

Suppliers will be required to have an authorized service center in Ukraine and provide a warranty of at least 36 months.

The procurement will be carried out by the state enterprise Restoration of Critical Infrastructure.
