A Russian missile strike on Kyiv on Wednesday damaged the offices of Ukrainian state broadcasting channels, but no employees were injured, according to a statement from the press service of the Multimedia Platform for Foreign Broadcasting of Ukraine (MPIU).
The affected offices housed several international broadcasting channels, including FREEDОМ, UATV English, UATV Arabic, UATV Português, and UATV Español, which provide global coverage of events in Ukraine.

The newsroom of the FREEDОМ channel suffered significant damage, with windows and doors blown out, partial collapse of the ceiling, and damage to the studio, computer equipment, production gear, and vehicles belonging to MPIU.

Despite the damage, FREEDОМ is currently broadcasting from a backup studio.
"Fortunately, no one from the international broadcasting team was injured. We continue to work and broadcast. Some colleagues are temporarily working remotely, as the premises require significant repairs," said Yuliya Bin, the general director of MPIU.
The Russian strike on Kyiv resulted in one fatality and several wounded.
In addition to the capital, Russian forces also targeted Kyiv Oblast, with air defense systems intercepting several enemy targets.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched seven Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 123 drones of various types against Ukraine on Tuesday evening. Six missiles and 71 drones were successfully destroyed, while 40 drones were lost from radar.
