Boeing employees have gone on strike again. It will affect the production of F-15 and F/A-18

More than 3,200 members of the District 837 union, which assembles Boeing fighter jets in St. Louis, Missouri, and Illinois, have gone on strike after rejecting the company's second contract offer. About writes Reuters.
Boeing Defense said it was ready for a work stoppage and would implement an action plan that would involve non-unionized workers.
Boeing offered employees a four-year deal with a 40% increase in average salary, including a 20% across-the-board raise, a one-time $5,000 bonus, and increased vacation and sick leave.
However, the union said that the proposal is almost the same as the first one rejected a week ago.
Tom Boehling, chairman of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers' District 837, said that its members "deserve a contract that reflects their skill, dedication and critical role in national defense."
The strike will affect the production of F-15 and F/A-18 fighters, T-7 trainers and MQ-25 refueling drones.
