Kyiv reveals next stages of Podil bridge: exit to Podil, metro line next

Kyiv has outlined the next steps in completing the Podil Bridge crossing. The first stage will open an exit to Podil to ease traffic congestion, followed by the construction of the Podilsko-Vyhurivska line of the Kyiv Metro, which will connect the left and right banks of the city, according to the Kyiv City State Administration.
The planned Podilsko-Vyhurivska line is intended to run across Kyiv, from the Ring Road to the Vyhurivshchyna-Troyeshchyna residential area. Currently, the city administration is currently referring only to the first phase of the line.
It will feature six stations, including Hlybochytska, Podilska, Rayduzhna, and three stations on bridge structures. It will also offer two transfer points: to the green line at Lukyanivska–Hlybochytska and to the blue line at Tarasa Shevchenka–Podilska.
Rayduzhna station will be located on the left bank.
Future extensions are planned: from Rayduzhna station towards Bratislavska Street, from Hlybochytska station to Solomyanska Square, from Rayduzhna station towards Troyeshchyna, and from Solomyanska Square to the Ring Road.

- The Podilskyi Bridge crossing has been operational since December 1, 2023, when the first exit to Rusanivski Sady opened. Exactly one year later, on December 1, 2024, another exit from the bridge towards Troyeshchyna was inaugurated.
- In August 2025, all lanes of the bridge were opened to traffic for the first time.
