A 156-meter bridge on the P-02 highway connecting Kyiv, Ivankiv, and Ovruch, which was destroyed in February 2022, has been rebuilt and reopened for all vehicle traffic, the Kyiv Oblast Service for Restoration and Infrastructure Development reported.

The bridge over the Irpin River is crucial for connecting residents of the Vyshhorod district.

The new bridge features two lanes for traffic, a modern drainage system, and autonomous solar-powered lighting. It is equipped with guardrails and barrier fencing, and new road markings have been applied.

The road surface consists of two layers of asphalt, including a top layer of stone mastic asphalt (SMA).

The reconstructed bridge is located in the village of Demydiv, near the Kozarovychi dam, whose demolition halted the advance of Russian invasion forces on Kyiv.

Recently, another bridge on the P-02 highway over the Zdvyzh River was also restored.

On November 28, a newly constructed bridge on the M-19 highway in Terebovlia, Ternopil Oblast, was opened for traffic.

In Kyiv, on December 1, the Podilsko-Voskresenskyi bridge over the Dnipro River was reopened for all vehicles except heavy trucks.
