Ukrposhta launches long-delayed mobile application

Ukrposhta, Ukraine’s national postal operator, has announced the launch of a new mobile application, now available for download on the App Store and Google Play in beta version. The news was reported by the company’s press service and its CEO, Ihor Smelyansky.
“Yes, it took a little longer than expected, but now it works faster than you can open the comments,” Smelyansky joked on Facebook. The launch had originally been planned for 2024 but was postponed for unspecified reasons.
The new app allows users to automatically track all parcels associated with their phone number, access detailed shipment information, and receive push notifications about delivery status updates.
It also features a branch locator with an interactive map, the option to build routes, and online payment functionality when creating shipments.

The app’s development is structured in three stages.
At the second stage, users will gain the ability to redirect parcels or change the recipient (free of charge before arrival at the branch) and enable payment by the recipient.
The third stage will expand functionality for accepting payments and ordering goods.
Smelyansky stressed that the app was developed entirely in-house, without the involvement of third-party companies.
- Earlier this month, the Universal Postal Union ranked Ukrposhta among the world’s top three fastest-growing postal operators.
