Lines of trucks remain near the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the border with Ukraine despite the end of the blockade by Polish farmers on Saturday evening, said the spokesman of the Ukrainian State Border Gurad Service Andriy Demchenko, reports news agency Ukrinform.

As of Monday morning, 550 trucks remain in the queues.

At the same time, after the unblocking, the traffic of trucks in this direction became more intense.

Demchenko added that the Poles continue to block three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.

"The checkpoints Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne, Krakivets-Korczowa, Yahodyn-Dorohusk remain blocked. According to the information of the Polish border guards, as of this morning, 1,350 trucks are in queues on these three routes towards Ukraine," said the spokesman.

On Saturday, Polish Minister of Agriculture Czeslaw Siekierski and representatives of the Deceived Village movement signed an agreement to end the blocking of the border crossing point with Ukraine in Medyka.

The minister promised to satisfy all the demands of farmers: subsidies for corn in the amount of 1 million zlotys ($252,154), an increase in crediting by 2.5 billion zlotys ($626 million) and maintaining the size of the agricultural tax at the level of 2023.

Andriy Demchenko confirmed this information to LIGA.net.

Since November 6, border crossings in Dorohusk, Hrebenne (Lublin Voivodeship) and Korczowa (Podkarpackie Voivodeship) have also been blocked in Poland. There, carriers are protesting with the demand to cancel the "transport visa-free" for Ukraine and return the permit system for freight transportation.
