Sushi bars and pizzerias lead in revenue growth among Ukrainian restaurants in 2025

These results of the restaurant industry research were published on the Facebook page CEO and co-founder of Poster agency Rodion Yeroshek
Overall, the revenue of the establishments grew by 6%, despite an 8% drop in attendance. "Inflation in 2025 was 8%, which means that revenue growth did not keep pace with it on average," Eroshek said.
The average check grew in all cities in the sample due to price increases. The highest average growth rates were in Ivano-Frankivsk (+25%) and Rivne (+25%). At the same time, 42% of restaurateurs in the survey said that profitability in 2025 decreased compared to 2024. Another 32% say it has hardly changed, and 26% say it has increased.
The biggest operational challenges of the year were the issues of hiring and retaining a team. This is the opinion of 79% of the surveyed restaurateurs. 60% ranked working during power outages as the second biggest challenge.
In general, restaurateurs called 2025 "difficult," "uneven," and "a roller coaster ride."
"However, even in harsh assessments, there is often a common denominator – the market has not given up, most continue to work, rebuild and keep the team," notes Eroshek.
