Operation Midas. HACCU completes choosing preventive measures, all detainees are in pre-trial detention center
On Thursday, November 13, the High Anti-Corruption Court finalized the choice of preventive measures for suspects detained during Operation Midas regarding possible corruption at Energoatom. This was reported to by the court's press service.
Investigating judges imposed on all five defendants a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention for 60 days, until January 8, 2025 inclusive.
The largest bail of UAH 126 million was set for suspect Ihor Myroniuk, whom the investigation calls a former advisor to Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko. He appears on NABU tapes under the nickname Rocket.
Bail was set at UAH 95 million for the suspect Ihor Fursenko (Rioshyk), UAH 40 million, UAH 25 million and UAH 12 million for the other defendants.
If bail is granted, suspects are subject to procedural obligations:
- to appear before investigators, detectives, prosecutors, investigating judges, and courts at every request;
- not to leave Kyiv and Kyiv region without the permission of the investigator, prosecutor, or court;
- to notify the investigator investigator, prosecutor or court about changes in their place of residence and/or place of work;
- refrain from communicating with persons specified in the court order;
- deposit their passport(s) for traveling abroad and other documents entitling them to leave and enter Ukraine with the State Migration Service of Ukraine;
- wear electronic control devices.
- The main suspects, Timur Mindich and Alexander Zuckerman, were not detained. on November 13, 2025, sanctions were imposed against them with the blocking of assets.
- Another consequence of Operation Midas was the resignation of two ministers, which the parliament is going to approve next week.
