The American corporation Boeing forgave Ukraine $200 million in debt, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced on Twitter.

"During a meeting with US companies, Boeing announced that it was releasing Ukrainian companies from their $200 million payment obligations related to the Sea Launch project. Thank you for this important decision to support Ukraine. We count on the cooperation with Boeing in future," the official said.

In 2019, KB Pivdenne Design Office and Pivdenmash aerospace manufacturer lost a court case regarding the bankruptcy of the consortium "Sea Launch", created in 1995 to launch Zenit-3SL rockets from a floating cosmodrome.

Boeing had 40% in the venture, while Ukrainian companies had 15% in total.

In 2009, Sea Launch went bankrupt, owing more than $500 million, and later the cosmodrome was bought by the Russian company S7 Group.
