NSDC imposes moratorium on business inspections – Zelensky

The National Security and Defense Council on Monday, July 21, introduced moratorium on business inspections. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy based on the results of the first meeting the renewed composition of the NSDC.

"The NSDC decision introduced a real moratorium on inspections of businesses by government agencies and, in general, on any interference by government agencies in business activities. The moratorium provides the necessary basis for the full implementation of the necessary solutions for economic security and analysis of relevant practices," he said.

"Everything that should support Ukrainian business and cooperation of partners with Ukraine must be implemented quickly and without fail. We need tangible economic results in the next six months," the President added.

The day before, the newly appointed Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko said that she was planning to a one-year moratorium on inspections. According to her, new cases against businesses will be authorized only by the Prosecutor General or regional and district leaders.

At the same time, tax and customs inspections will be limited, and control over the legality of investigative actions will be strengthened.
