The United States has announced additional sanctions against six Russian companies related to the military-industrial complex, as well as export restrictions against Russia’s largest titanium producer.

The Bureau of Industry and Security, which is part of the US Department of Commerce, has decided to impose additional restrictions on Device Consulting, Inc., Grant Instrument, SMT-AyLogic, Streloy, and VSMPO-AVISMA.

VSMPO-AVISMA is a Russian titanium producer that runs a full technological cycle, from processing to finished products, and exports its products.

The company manufactures products for the Russian military industry, and carries a critical risk of diverting US defence technology.

According to the US Treasury, repeated sanctions have been imposed on STAR, a joint-stock company registered in the Russian city of Perm and associated with an Iranian aircraft manufacturer.

In addition, the updated list of restrictions includes Lis Group, Logistic International Servis, Razrez Polarny, Sky 17, and Streloy, with offices in Moscow and St Petersburg.

Earlier this month, the United States announced a broad package of sanctions against Russia's elite, financial and industrial sectors, aimed at weakening the Kremlin's ability to wage war against Ukraine.
