The first commodity agricultural note was registered in Ukraine: it was received by Kernel Verevsky

The largest producer and exporter of sunflower oil in Ukraine, Kernel, became the first company in our country to receive a commodity agricultural note. This was reported by the company's press service.
This document was registered by Kernel in the Register of Agrarian Notes, administered by the National Depository of Ukraine, and deposited with the Central Securities Depository.
It is noted that thanks to this, the instrument can be used as reliable collateral in financial transactions and act as an alternative to traditional agricultural financing mechanisms.
"We see the future in the digitalization and standardization of processes. Using an agricultural note is not just a tool, but a foundation for transparent and effective interaction between agricultural market participants," said Oleksandr Golovin, Commercial Director of Kernel in Ukraine.
The issuance of the agricultural note was supported by the IFC project "Developing Access to Capital Markets for Ukraine's Agricultural Sector", which is being implemented in partnership with the Swiss Confederation.
The tool allows you to use a note as collateral in financial transactions, which is especially important in difficult economic conditions.
Unlike traditional agricultural receipts, an agricultural note has higher liquidity and legal transparency, and therefore can be traded on the open market.
The first financial agricultural note was issued on March 6 by Agrofirma-Obriy LLC from Khmelnytskyi region to the company AP Import.
A commodity agricultural note differs from a financial note in that it is based not on monetary obligations, but on the supply of a real commodity, for example, grain or oilseeds.
- In December 2024, Kernel won the case against minority shareholders.
- On May 1, 2025, Kernel-Trade received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to acquire the company "Keramobloky-Invest".
- On May 15, Kernel filed an application to acquire control over the agricultural holding "IMK". The AMCU granted permission
