The National Agency on Corruption Prevention for the first time recognized a company from Denmark as a war sponsor. Rockwool, a manufacturer of mineral wool products, was added to the list, according to the NACP website.

The reason for this decision was that the company's products are sold through intermediaries to Russian state-owned enterprises, in particular at the order of the Russian Ministry of Defense for its shipbuilding industry.

The Danes have four plants in Russia — in Balashikha, Vyborg, Troitsk and near Yelabuga. And although officially Russian Rockwool companies do not carry out direct deliveries of their own products under state contracts of the Russian Federation, in 2023 this was done by intermediary companies.

In April 2022, the Rockwool company announced the continuation of its work in Russia.

The Rockwool company was founded in 1909, its central office is located in Denmark. Rockwool owns 45 factories in Europe, North America and Asia. Rockwool Ukraine was founded in 2000.

Last week , a company from Georgia entered the list of war sponsors for the first time. In total, there are now 46 companies on the list, most of which are Chinese and American.

Inclusion in the list of international sponsors of war is a reputational tool. All listed companies are included in World-Check, a database of high-risk individuals and organizations used worldwide to identify and manage financial, regulatory and reputational risks.
