Ukraine plans to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into all key management sectors and aims to become one of the top three countries globally in AI adoption by 2030, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said, according to news agency Ukrinform.

"Artificial intelligence will accelerate Ukraine's development. We aim to implement this technology in all key management sectors: education, healthcare, business. Special emphasis will be placed on AI-powered weapons—from forming 'drone swarms' to information systems for battlefield analytics," the premier said.

Using AI to combat cyber threats and Russian propaganda is also a priority for Ukraine, he added.

"Our further plans are very ambitious: by 2030, we aim to be among the top three countries in the world in terms of AI integration and implementation," Shmyhal stated.

Ukraine is creating an effective ecosystem for the development of innovative companies, particularly in the defense-tech sector, which is developing innovations for defense purposes.

This includes the creation of smart drones, new solutions for automating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and the development of robotic systems.

Additionally, the MedTech sector is focusing on rehabilitation solutions for soldiers, including the scaling of bionic prosthesis production and improving their functionality. The EdTech sector is offering modern digital solutions for education.

"BioTech and AgroTech present new opportunities in biopharmaceuticals and accelerated soil restoration after demining, as well as biofuel production and innovative deep processing of agricultural raw materials to create high-value products. This is an important economic goal," Shmyhal said.

Major U.S. technology companies plan to invest over $300 billion in AI projects in 2025.
