The government has approved a bill proposing changes to several legislative acts, including the Land Code of Ukraine, which regulate the use of land plots for constructing military facilities during martial law, according to the government representative in the Ukrainian parliament, Taras Melnychuk.

The bill allows for the temporary compulsory deprivation of the right to use privately owned land plots for the construction of engineering and fortification structures.

Once the restriction ends, the land can be either purchased or returned to its owners, in accordance with existing legislation.

The bill also proposes special rules for the temporary compulsory deprivation of the right to use land or parts of it, which include:

- Preparing an act on the temporary compulsory deprivation of usage rights;

- Defining the procedure for decision-making on the termination of such restrictions;

- Procedures for purchasing the land or its parts.

After the government's approval, the bill will be submitted to parliament.
