Ukroboronprom to cooperate with NATO ammunition supplier

One of the enterprises of the Ukrainian defense concern "Ukrainian Defense Industry" has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Belgian company KNDS Belgium SA. This was reported by the press service of Ukroboronprom.
According to the agreement, the parties intend to organize a joint procurement of medium-caliber ammunition.
Such shells are used for firing from automatic guns and are designed to engage manpower, light armored vehicles, and low-flying air targets.
"We are gradually expanding the geography of our international partnerships, searching for and finding new areas of interaction. This benefits the Ukrainian Defense Forces and our defense-industrial complex, which seeks to integrate into the global arms industry of NATO countries," said Oleh Hulyak, Director General of Ukroboronprom.
- On May 13, Ukroboronprom and the German arms concern Rheinmetall signed a memorandum of cooperation regarding the possibility of creating another joint venture.
- On the same day, Ukroboronprom launched an employment program to bring back Ukrainians from abroad.
