President Zelenskyy suggests creating single inspection body for businesses

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed to create a single body that will be responsible for conducting inspections of businesses, and indicated the need for cooperation between the state and businesses in this matter during an interview with Natalia Moseychuk.

Zelenskyy emphasized: "Business should not be giving bribes. This is unrewarding. Business is an important sector, and we will do everything to protect it."

According to the President, a platform for dialogue with businesses has already been created by the Office of the President.

"My economic advisors regularly meet with business representatives once or twice a week and consider topical issues. But this is not a systemic solution," he stressed.

Zelenskyy noted that businesses have tried to avoid inspections and complained about the increase in their number due to the state's return to this practice. At the same time, the head of state noted that in conditions of balancing, especially during war, it is difficult to ensure stability. He emphasized that the preservation of the old tax system and checks is important for future negotiations with the European Union on membership.

The President expressed his intention to implement changes in the legislation, which will provide that only one body will be entrusted with conducting inspections. Zelenskyy also called on businesses to propose specific changes and organizational details that would meet European standards and meet the needs of the business environment.
