Respublika Park shopping mall switches to imported electricity for stable operation

Respublika Park, the largest shopping and entertainment center in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, continues to implement innovative solutions to ensure stable energy supply. In response to current challenges related to power outages, the mall has transitioned to using imported electricity, becoming one of the first facilities in the country to implement such solutions. This decision aims to ensure the stable operation of the center and support the national energy system under martial law conditions.

CEO of the mall, Yulia Shchaslyva, noted: "We strive to provide our visitors with comfort and safety under any circumstances. Switching to imported electricity allows us not only to maintain stable operation of the complex but also to reduce the load on the internal energy system, which is important for the entire country."
According to a new government decree, enterprises that import 80% of their electricity consumption can guarantee operation without disconnections. This allows Respublika Park to ensure the functioning of all shops, food establishments, and entertainment zones, even during peak loads on the power grid.

The transition to imported electricity is an important step in supporting the country's energy stability. This decision helps reduce electricity shortages and ensures the continuous operation of important infrastructure facilities such as Respublika Park. It does not affect the electricity supply for the population in any way; on the contrary, it helps reduce the load on the energy system and prevent outages.
Key advantages of switching to imported electricity:
- Reducing the load on the Ukrainian power grid: By importing electricity from EU countries, Respublika Park helps reduce the load on internal power sources, which is critical in current conditions.
- Uninterrupted business operation: Using imported electricity ensures uninterrupted functioning of all shops, offices, and entertainment facilities in the mall, which, in turn, creates comfortable conditions for visitors and workplaces for employees.
- Supporting the economy: Ensuring stable operation of commercial enterprises contributes to the country's economic development, creates new jobs, and supports socio-economic stability.

It's worth noting that last year, Respublika Park invested over $1 million in purchasing powerful generators and spends hundreds of thousands of hryvnias monthly on their maintenance and fuel.
Additionally, Respublika Park continues to invest in innovative solutions and infrastructure for electric vehicles. In collaboration with the global brand Wallbox and 1UP company, the center has installed 29 charging stations for electric vehicles, allowing electric car owners to conveniently charge their cars even during power outages.
"Our goal is to remain a reliable and comfortable place for Kyiv residents to shop and relax under any circumstances. We believe in Ukraine's victory and are preparing for active participation in the economic recovery after the war," Yulia Shchaslyva concluded.
