Demand for used electric cars has increased by 40% in Ukraine. Tesla is the most popular car
Ukrainians bought over 4,700 used electric cars in May – 40% more than last year
In May 2025, Ukrainians registered more than 4,700 used electric cars, which is 40% more than in the same period last year. This was reported by Ukravtoprom.
The average age of registered cars was five years.
The most popular model was the Tesla Model Y. 544 such cars were registered. It was followed by the Nissan Leaf (515 cars) and the Tesla Model 3 (467 cars).
Also in the top ten most popular are:
- Kia Niro EV – 322 cars;
- Hyundai Kona Electric – 265 cars;
- Chevrolet Bolt – 218 cars;
- Volkswagen e-Golf – 211 cars;
- Renault Zoe – 204 cars;
- Tesla Model S – 180 cars;
- Audi E-Tron Sportback – 131 cars.
In total, since the beginning of 2025, Ukrainians have purchased more than 20,600 used electric vehicles from abroad, which is 30% more than in the same period last year.
- In May, demand for new electric vehicles in Ukraine increased sharply by 93% – to 1,257 vehicles.
