Over 5,700 new passenger cars bought in Ukraine in April: five most popular models

In April 2024, more than 5,700 new cars were registered in Ukraine. This is 11% more than last year. However, compared to March, consumer activity in the car market fell by 14%, reports Ukrautoprom.

The most popular passenger car model in Ukraine remains the Renault Duster crossover (484 units sold), and the Toyota brand as a whole (856 units).

Renault remains the second brand in terms of the number of cars sold – 536 units.

Volkswagen comes third with 468 sold cars.

BMW (405 units) and Skoda (317 cars) also made it to the top five in April.

In total, since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have purchased 22,200 new passenger cars, which is 35% more than in the same period of 2023.

In January 2024, about 4,400 new cars were sold in Ukraine, and almost 5,700 in February. In March 2024, Ukrainians bought almost 6,700 new passenger cars.

In 2023, 377,063 vehicles were imported into Ukraine, which is the lowest figure in the last three years.

In April 2024, the number of people willing to re-register and donate cars in Ukraine increased sharply. Ukrainians gifted cars six times more often.

In the first quarter of 2024, Ukrainians bought more than 2,800 new premium cars, which is 2% more than the result of the same period last year.
