Trump calls on Microsoft to fire Monaco top executive over her work with Democrats

President of the United States Donald Trump stated that Microsoft is to fire Lisa Monaco, the company's current global affairs chief, who previously worked in the administrations of two Democratic presidents – Barack Obama and Joe Biden. About writes Reuters.
Monaco also coordinated the U.S. Department of Justice's response to the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol by Trump supporters. In July, she started working at Microsoft, leading the company's relations with governments around the world.
Trump called Monaco a "threat to U.S. national security," especially given Microsoft's large contracts with the U.S. government, and called for her immediate release.
Earlier in February, Monaco was deprived of access to state secrets, and the US government banned it from federal facilities due to "many misconducts."
The call came the day after former FBI Director James Comey was indicted on charges of perjury and obstructing a congressional investigation.
Comey was the head of the FBI during the investigation into possible ties between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia. Trump has hinted that he expects new charges against his political opponents in the future.
Since returning to politics, Trump has been actively using his influence to put pressure on companies and organizations he doesn't like.
- On August 7, Trump said that Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan should resign immediately because of alleged ties to China. In response, the company's CEO said that has full support of the company's board of directors.
- On August 23, Trump said that the government will acquire 9.9% of Intel shares as part of an agreement that provides for the investment of public funds from grants in exchange for a stake in the company.
