On June 26, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine granted permission to for four transactions to acquire control and assets in two dairy companies. Three of them relate to the acquisition of control by Ukrainian citizens over Girske Moloko, and the fourth one is about the acquisition of assets of Mukko Milk by this company. Market participants estimate that the related investments will reach $20 million .

Until June 26, the sole owner of Hirske Moloko LLC was Taras Kitsmei, and the owners of Mukko Milk were the Kmit family (father Mykola and son Nazar, together 67.75%), Yuriy Shvidchenko (27.85%) and Serhiy Taratuta (4.4%) .

In May 2025, LIGA.net reported that Taras Kitsmei said at a business forum in Lviv that "my partner Mykola Kmit invited me to build a barn for 2,000 cows together... In August we will launch the first stage".

Mykola Kmit told Zaxid.net that as part of the counter-deal, his son-in-law will become one of the owners of Girske Moloko. Taras Kitsmei does not comment on the details of this agreement – "there are many nuances that I will not talk about.".

According to Serhiy Vovchenko, co-owner of the Milk Alliance, investments in a modern dairy farm reach $10,000 per stall, or place for a cow. In this case, the cost of the new Mukko farm is $20 million.

Taras Kitsmei is known as the founder and shareholder of the SoftServe group of companies, which is the second largest in the Ukrainian IT industry by number of employees ( more than 10 thousand). Earlier, DOU estimated SoftServe's revenue at UAH 20-25 billion, while Forbes predicted its growth to $1 billion. Despite the difference in estimates, it is clear that Mr. Kitsmey has solid investment opportunities.

Earlier, Delo reported that Mukko Milk had begun construction of a 70 thousand square meter cow farm in the village of Dolishne, which is part of the Morshynska OTG.
