He emphasized that despite the war and Russian terror, Ukraine continues to be a donor of global food security for dozens of countries worldwide and is increasing its capabilities.

"In over a year of operation of our export sea corridor, 70 million tons of cargo have already been transported. More than 2,500 ships have departed from Ukrainian ports. Ports in Asia, Africa, Europe, and America are receiving our Ukrainian cargo. Countries from Egypt to Indonesia, from Tunisia and Libya to India, from Algeria to China have received our Ukrainian grain," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, thanks to the humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine, at least hundreds of thousands of families and millions of people in Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen, and Sudan have received necessary food supplies.

Ukraine opened a new sea route from Odesa in August 2023, which replaced the Black Sea Grain Initiative after Russia withdrew from it. This allowed Ukraine to significantly increase its maritime exports. The National Bank of Ukraine also confirmed that increasing the capacity of the new sea corridor has helped compensate for losses from the blockade of the border by Polish farmers.
