The State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development received 18 modular bridges purchased with World Bank funds, announced the head of the Agency, Mustafa Nayyem.

"The entire batch, which we agreed with our partners, is already in Ukraine. The total cost is more than $23 million," said Nayyem.

Modular designs will make it possible to quickly restore transport connections where bridges are destroyed or damaged as a result of hostilities.

The procurement within the framework of the World Bank project "Repairing Essential Logistics Infrastructure & Network Connectivity (RELINC)" was carried out by UNOPS – the United Nations Office for Project Services.

The donor of the project is URTF (URTF is the Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund).

The first 12 modular bridges within the project arrived in Ukraine in March. The total length of the bridges is 475 meters, the cost is more than $15 million.

At the beginning of April 2024, water utility company Mykolaivvodokanal received 10 emergency repair vehicles with funds from the World Bank. This is modern equipment, equipped with everything necessary for the repair of water supply or sewage networks.
