Ukrzaliznytsia summarized the first results of the enhanced checking documents before boarding trains. There were only 0.1% of violators, said the company's press service.

"The result is that there are virtually no violations at most stations and on trains. The total share of violators is only 0.1% of all travelers," the statement said.

Since July 25, when Ukraine introduced enhanced control, more than 300 trains have been checked and more than 41,600 documents have been verified.

During the inspection, they were not allowed on the trains:

38 passengers who tried to board without tickets, bypassing the conductors;
three passengers who had discrepancies in their documents;
several people who refused to show documents or did not have them.

The UZ reminded that children under 14 should travel only with adults, and only children under 5 can travel for free.

"We are working to ensure that all honest passengers have fair access to tickets, so inspections will continue throughout the country," Ukrzaliznytsia said.
