On May 19, the Lychakivskyi District Court of Lviv handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine 17 vehicles that had been under arrest since May 2022 as part of criminal proceedings on illegal sand mining at two quarries in Lviv Oblast, reported the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

"These vehicles belonged to the enterprise of relatives [Viktor] Medvedchuk and [Taras] Kozak, involved in the financing of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine," the SBI said.

It is reported in the court documents that the vehicles belong to Transmonolitavto LLC, whose beneficiary is Bohdan Kozak, the brother of ex-MP Taras Kozak.

The value of the vehicles transferred to the Armed Forces is $1.1 million, including 12 Scania and Volvo trucks, a KamAZ truck crane, a Mercedes-Benz minibus, a Peugeot Partner van, and two Toyota and Mitsubishi SUVs.

At the beginning of 2023, the Verkhovna Rada deprived Medvedchuk and Kozak of their mandates due to the termination of their citizenship.

They are accused of treason for allegedly aiding Russia.
