The Kyiv court seized 10 hectares of land on Muromets Island in Kyiv and more than 80 buildings located there. The photo published by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation shows the Kyiv sports complex X-Park.

In 2015, the developer company concluded an investment agreement with the Department of Economy and Investments of the Kyiv City State Administration on the construction of a sports complex on the territory of the "Friendship of Peoples" culture and recreation park in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv in the amount of almost UAH 150 million ($6.9 million).

"The contractor company is under the control of one of the current advisors of the city mayor, who contributed to the signing of the documents," the SBI said in a statement.

The investigation claims that the company missed the construction deadlines and the project financing schedule (as of March 2023, less than half of the work was completed instead of 100%) and began to build something that was not foreseen in the project and estimate documentation: instead of sports fields, there is a restaurant and cottages.

The SBI opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code (abuse of official position) regarding improper control over the execution and compliance with the terms of the investment agreement on the part of the KCSA.

As part of the investigation, the SBI appealed to the court and secured the seizure of land and real estate objects, which, according to the investigation, were illegally built.
