The first restaurant with a menu of different varieties of bottled water has appeared in the UK

La Popote, a French restaurant in Cheshire, northern England, has become the first in the UK to offer a bottled water menu. About writes CNN.
The restaurant, known for its extensive wine list with 140 items, has now decided to please visitors who do not drink alcohol.
Starting Friday, August 22, three types of still and four types of sparkling water from different European countries – from the UK to Portugal – will be available to guests.
Prices start from 5 pounds (about $6.8) for a large bottle to 19 pounds ($26) for The Palace of Vidago elite Portuguese water. Free tap water remains on the menu as well.
The idea was proposed to the restaurant's owners, Joseph Rawlins and his partner Gael Radigon, by the famous British "water sommelier" Doren Binder, who heads the Crag Spring Water brand.
At first, the restaurateurs were skeptical about the proposal, but after a tasting at Binder's "water bar" they changed their minds.
"It was amazing. I realized that water is not just water."mr. Rawlins said. According to him, just like wine, the mineral composition of water changes its taste, and when combined with different products, the flavors are revealed in a new way.
La Popote believes that the new menu opens up a "different dimension" for visitors, especially against the backdrop of the global trend toward reduced alcohol consumption.
