Operators of the European energy system ENTSO-E have agreed to increase the capacity to supply electricity to Ukraine, reported NPC Ukrenergo on Wednesday.

Currently, the technical possibility of importing electricity to Ukraine is up to 1,200 MW at any time. Previously, the maximum possible import from Europe was 1,050 MW.

The import of electricity from the European Union is a key source of covering the potential deficit in the Ukrainian energy system. Operators of the European energy system and Ukrenergo are gradually increasing this indicator.

The technical possibility for export from Ukraine and Moldova to Europe, as before, remains at the level of 400 MW.
