Nova Poshta launched the first gas cogeneration unit – photo

Nova Poshta, Ukraine's largest private postal service, has launched the first natural gas-fired cogeneration unit as part of its energy independence program, the company's press service reports.
The equipment is installed on the territory of the company's logistics hub in western Ukraine. The plant has an electric capacity of 1 MW and operates on the principle of dual generation – it simultaneously produces electricity and heat.
By the end of 2025, the company plans to install six more similar units in different regions, including Kyiv.
As part of the transition to energy autonomy, Nova Poshta has already invested UAH 300 million, and this year it intends to invest another UAH 150 million. The total investment will reach UAH 450 million, more than half of which the company will allocate to the development of gas generation.
