The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure to create the posts of deputies for reconstruction in 8 ministries and 12 oblasts, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting.

The availability of the position of deputy for restoration will allow a qualitative approach to the planning of reconstruction projects and programs, and will also create additional responsibility, transparency, and accountability.

The competence of the deputy ministers and deputy heads of regional administrations will include the whole range of issues related to the restoration of the regions (an oblast for regional administration) infrastructure and communities.

"We are building a restoration framework. The government has already established a Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery role as well as a relevant ministry and agency. A special fund for overcoming aggression's consequences was set up within the budget. Recovery is a top government and national priority," Shmyhal said.
