Agricultural work resumes on 120,000 hectares of demined territories in Ukraine

More than 120,000 hectares of agricultural land in Ukraine have already been demined and are used by agricultural companies, reported the press service of the Ministry of Economy with reference to the data of regional military administrations.

A total of 200,000 hectares of land have been surveyed since the beginning of 2023.

Just last week, pyrotechnicians surveyed about 4,500 hectares of agricultural land. Of them, more than 3,700 hectares are in Kherson Oblast, more than 430 hectares in Mykolaiv Oblast, and more than 280 hectares in Kharkiv Oblast.

The plan of measures for the demining of agricultural lands is designed for four years and provides for the return to economic exploitation of more than 470,000 hectares of the most valuable agricultural lands.

By May 2023, Ukraine stabilized the rate of demining of agricultural land at an average of 5,500 hectares per week.
