No one in Ukraine knows the actual volume of the potato harvest. According to official data, it amounts to 20 million tons, or more than 500 kg per Ukrainian citizen. However, the official statistics are more than double the actual amount, according to Serhiy Rybalko, owner of the "Adelaide" farm. His company is among the top five potato producers in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers (UAPK) and those interviewed agree with him LIGA.net manufacturers.

Under these conditions, the only objective market indicator is the price of potatoes. Currently, potatoes in Ukraine are half the price of last year. Paradoxically, during the war, Ukrainians are paying less for potatoes less, than Belarusians: 15 UAH per kg, versus 1.8 Belarusian rubles (22 UAH). Our neighbors, without missile strikes and in optimal weather conditions, were unable to provide themselves with a cheap staple food.
